Touro University celebrated 50th anniversary this year. Half a century of impact and innovation.
To mark this success Touro Berlin – the member of the Touro family since 2003 – held a festive ceremony in presence and with greetings by President of the Berlin Parliament Mr. Dennis Buchner, H.E. Ambassador of the State of Israel Prof. Ron Prosor, First Lady of Germany Elke Büdenbender, Rabbi Yehuda Teichtal, Executive Director of the Jewish Center of Education Chabad Lubawitsch Berlin and CEO Touro University System Dr. Alan Kadish MD.
The ceremony was followed by the international academic colloquium „The Holocaust of the Polish Jews – political history, contested memory”. The conference, attended by academics from Germany, Poland, Israel, Great Britain, and the USA, presented the latest research on the fate and reactions of Polish Jews confronted with the Holocaust.
